ABOUT THE WORKSHOP This workshop will help you find your natural style and discover attitudes and habits that may be inhibiting your happy approach to drawing. At least 22 techniques will be explored to find which ones click with you. We are all delightfully different! It also aims to help you develop an intimate knowledge of a medium and an awareness of your personal relationship with it so you work together. MATERIALS LIST Coming soon |
ABOUT THE ARTIST WENDY ALLEN, has had a life-time involvement with teaching in the Arts, often integrated with Music, Writing, Drama and Movement at all levels, in schools, colleges and universities. She has tutored for the Australian Flying Arts, the Queensland Arts Council and in private practice. Initially trained as a Secondary High School teacher she then spent ten years as a Music Specialist. She has self-published her own Arts curriculum, ‘Running on Rainbows Art Program’ for Primary Schools and Universities and has run free-lance workshops and conducted lectures throughout Queensland and the USA. Now listed in the ‘Who’s Who of Australian Women’ for services to Art education, Wendy has maintained her own personal practice in painting since the late 1950s. Her art career began with a scholarship to the Brisbane Central Technical College. She also took Life drawing evening classes with Jon Molvig and Andrew Sibley and attended watercolour workshops with Wilson George Cooper. Wendy has exhibited with the Half Dozen Group since the 1960s and firmly believes that Art is an essential and exuberant medium which expresses our inner most thoughts and feelings and is thus unique. http://www.wendyallen.com.au/home.htm |
