ABOUT THE WORKSHOP What a combination – watercolour and pastel! In this workshop I will show how to combine these two mediums to give both the opportunity to shine. With flowers as our subject I will walk you through under-painting and colour mixing with watercolour on pastel paper using a limited pallet. Then we will add the detail with pastel learning how to find and lose edges. Suitable for all levels. No experience in watercolour required. Some experience in pastel preferred but not essential. Saturday, 24 August ‘24 from 10am to 3pm. Members $60. Non-members $70. Max 12 participants BYO Lunch – morning tea & coffee provided. THE ARTIST Tricia Taylor, a Moreton Bay artist, is a Master Pastellist with the Pastel Society of Australia. She has won many awards including the Pastellist of the Year in 2010. Her work has also been published in a variety of national art magazines including ‘Australian Artist’, ‘Art Edit’ and ‘Paint and Draw Magazine’ (UK).Having taught beginners to advanced students for many years Tricia’s workshops are in demand both nationally and internationally. Her purpose is to shine a light into the community through art. Light has always fascinated her as it plays such a significant role in life.
