ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
A children's holiday charcoal and pastel drawing activity with all materials provided for the Workshop. The Half Dozen Group of Artists are thrilled to be able to offer an activity for young artists on Wednesday, 5 July 2023, from 10am to 1pm. In this workshop Kim will teach the children how to draw Australian wildlife and will be demonstrating how to identify the shape, structure and unique characteristics of animals. She will be sharing her tips and techniques for portraying fur, feathers and scales. During the workshop children will complete 2 drawings, one in charcoal and a second one on toned paper using pastels. It will be held at the HDG Studio, 37 Quarry Rd, Sherwood. The cost is $50 for participants aged 9 years and over and younger children are welcome if supervised by an adult. |
Kim Woolley is a local artist and illustrator. She has a background in educational publishing and has illustrated over 60 books. She has also painted numerous murals, including the most recent one, an interactive community pathway mural for children, at Cawonga Park in Oxley. In addition to producing her own artwork, Kim has also spent the last 20 years facilitating regular classes and workshops for children of all ages, from pre-schoolers through to high school students, running artist in residence programs, as well as occasional classes and workshops for adults.
