ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This fun, creative Collage Workshop is an opportunity to unleash your creativity while relaxing into the making process. All techniques required will be carefully demonstrated and participants will make bespoke cards by combining collage and slow stitching art forms. Learn to arrange colours and images in an eye-catching way with threaded highlights that tie the whole creation together. All materials will be supplied! All are welcome at our HDG Studio: 37 Quarry Rd, Sherwood, 4075 A Saturday afternoon Event: 12 August ‘23 from 1pm to 4pm. The cost for Members $40 & Non-members $50

THE ARTIST Rachel Monique Walker is a visual artist and creativity facilitator. Her collage, textile and written work gathers inspiration from the colours and experiences of her early childhood, before the internet. She is also a Creative Industries Fashion graduate from QUT who brings a design sensibility to her art practice. Collages currently adorn the Brisbane offices of Timpson Immigration Lawyers and feature on the double album I Will Leave This Town While There Is Still Light- Recorded, Stored, Absorbed & Ignored by local freak-folk band, ‘A Country Practice’. She has created and facilitated Vision Board workshops for New York Health + Hospitals, the Museum of Brisbane, Conrad Gargett and the Anglican Church of Southern Queensland. These Workshops enable organisations and their staff to creatively reflect on their culture and mission.
