ABOUT THE WORKSHOP Are you an artist who already paints but would like to learn something new and exciting? This Workshop promises that and more as Renate shares her technique of using stencilling to get a unique Gelli plate print. Participants will also learn how to pull their Gelli plate prints in different ways and how to mask over the background. ‘I love the layered texture of the technique and the unpredictability of the outcome’ says Renate. ABOUT THE ARTIST With 10 years of experience in both the Netherlands and Australia Renate Jacobi has a comprehensive knowledge of guiding and teaching Art. She sees Art as having a function as it can help find creative solutions to problems through exploring new insights. She has worked with people from different backgrounds, led community projects and facilitated workshops in educational and work place settings. Renate has a Diploma in Art Counselling and a certificate in Art Based Learning and is currently studying a Diploma of Creative Arts and Health at the University of Tasmania. She has exhibited in both the Netherlands and Brisbane, Australia and participated in numerous Community Projects.
